I was on my way home from work when I was stopped by a 8(ish) year old boy. I knew something was wrong from the look on his face. I asked him what was wrong and he told me that his brother had shot himself. I called 911, parked my car, and proceeded to go inside his house. By now the little boy and his mother are screaming in hysterics and motioning me downstairs. I walk downstairs and the first thing I see is blood on the countertop, bloody footprints, there was blood everywhere. The poor kid's dad was straddling his son, talking to 911, and trying to keep his son's brains in at the same time. There was a huge pool of blood where the kid was lying on the floor. The ceilinghad a large red stain and was dripping blood where most of the brainmatter went. The little brother who stopped me was screaming "MY BROTHER'S DEAD, HE'S DEAD, HE'S DEAD..etc."
I then went upstairs and did all I could to help the police and parametics. The mom was having seizures. Poor family I think about them almost every day. Don't ever do that to your family
Turns out it was a suicide and not an accident like everyone thought.
