One night about 10 years it was just me and the dog at my old house. Its a pretty old semi-detached house, but never had any inkling that it was haunted - never got weird vibes

I'm in our lounge watching the tv, when my dog comes over and starts staring at the corner of the room and starts barking madly. normally i can make her stop pretty quickly, but nothing would work. about 5 seconds later, all the power cuts out. i get freaked out and walk out the front door, fortunately the neighbour has also done the same thing, and its happened to all the houses in the area - still freaks me out a bit as it was pretty coincidental timing - only thing i can think of is that maybe my dog reacted to an electrical surge?
